Objectives: The MOVE ON UP project aims to develop, implement, and evaluate a digital exercise program to improve physical activity engagement for People with Parkinson’s (PwP) and to train healthcare professionals and caregivers in delivering exercise-based interventions.
The project focuses on:
- Developing an 8-week digital exercise program for 50 PwP based on the COM-B model (Capability, Opportunity, Motivation).
- Creating a 28-hour digital training program for 100 health professionals & caregivers to integrate digital solutions in Parkinson’s care.
- Using an evidence-based approach to improve motor symptoms, balance, cognitive function, and quality of life.
- Encouraging stakeholder collaboration and policy alignment with the EU Health-Enhancing Physical Activity (HEPA) guidelines.
- Promoting sustainability and knowledge transfer by developing open-access online resources for PwP and healthcare professionals.
